Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a beautiful princess named Amelia. She had long, flowing hair and eyes as bright as the sun. Princess Amelia lived in a grand castle with her father, the king, and her mother, the queen. She was kind and gentle, and she loved to play in the castle garden.

One sunny day, while Amelia was playing by the castle pond, she dropped her favorite golden ball into the water. The ball was a gift from her parents, and it was very special to her. Amelia was heartbroken and began to cry.

Suddenly, a frog hopped out of the water and asked, “Why are you crying, beautiful princess?” Amelia told the frog about her lost ball. The frog said, “I can help you. If you promise to let me live in the castle and be your friend, I will fetch your ball.”

Amelia, desperate to get her ball back, agreed. The frog dived into the water and brought the ball back to her. Overjoyed, Amelia took the ball and ran back to the castle, forgetting all about her promise to the frog.

The next day, as the royal family was having dinner, there was a knock on the door. It was the frog! He reminded Amelia of her promise. The king, being a man of his word, insisted that Amelia honor her promise.

Reluctantly, Amelia let the frog into the castle. The frog hopped around, following her everywhere. One night, as Amelia was getting ready for bed, the frog climbed onto her pillow. “Please, kiss me and turn me back into a prince,” the frog said. “For I am under a wicked witch’s spell, and only a princess’s true love’s kiss can break it.”

Amelia, feeling a sense of duty and kindness, leaned down and kissed the frog. To her amazement, the frog transformed into a handsome prince! His eyes sparkled with gratitude, and he thanked Amelia for her kindness and bravery.

From that day on, Prince Frederick and Princess Amelia lived happily together in the castle, ruling the kingdom with love and wisdom. They learned that true beauty lies within, and that friendship and love can break even the strongest of spells. The story is inspired by: Bedtime Stories.
